Buddha Air, one of the leading private airlines in Nepal, has appointed Global GSA as its Passenger Sales Agent (PSA) for the Italian market. Under this agreement, Global GSA will be responsible for promoting the airline and providing support to travel agencies and tour operators.

Founded in 1997, Buddha Air is now one of Nepal’s leading airlines. Its inaugural flight, operated with a Beechcraft 1900D over the Everest range, marked a historic milestone as the first domestic flight by a private Nepali carrier.
Today, the airline operates a fleet of 18 aircrafts (ATR 72-500 and ATR 42-320), connecting 13 Nepali cities—including Kathmandu, Pokhara, Biratnagar, Bhairahawa, Janakpur, Dhangadhi, Nepalgunj, and Tumlingtar—and one international destination, Varanasi (India), through 43 daily routes.
Buddha Air is also renowned for its iconic Everest Experience Mountain Flight, a one-hour scenic flight departing from Kathmandu that offers close-up views of 20 of the world’s highest peaks, including Everest, Lhotse, Cho-Oyu, and Shisha Pangma.
A key asset of the airline is its certified Part 145 AMO (Approved Maintenance Organization) hangar, the only one in Nepal to meet international standards. Located within Tribhuvan International Airport (Kathmandu), the facility spans 3,400 square meters.
With this appointment, Buddha Air strengthens its international expansion strategy and confirms its commitment to growing its presence in the Italian market.
